A child aged 3 years or older with daytime as well as nighttime incontinence deserves a careful evaluation including an IVP, VCUG, possible urodynamic evaluation, and possible endoscopy. Although there are many possible causes for incontinence, an accurate diagnosis can usually be achieved with careful evaluation and structural abnormalities, if any, can then be corrected.
