Anemia in the Newborn Infant

A number of readers picked up an error (which was missed by the author, the editor, and two copy editors) in the article "Anemia in the Newborn Infant" (PIR 1984;6:131). In Table 6 (page 136), calculation of 60 mL x 70 kg = 4,500 mL instead of the correct figure of 4,200 mL. Table 6 should read as follows:

We probably wouldn't have killed the baby, but it is rumored that we have all been remanded to audit a class in 4th grade arithmetic!
