The United States has the highest youth homicide rate among wealthy nations, and violence is a major cause of serious injuries in teens, especially in inner cities. Residents in the Pediatric Leadership for the Underserved (PLUS) Program at the University of California at San Francisco decided to address youth violence in their community of San Francisco by producing a short documentary film that tells the story of several youth in different stages of recovery from violent injury.
